Description

a non specific stimulant of immunogenesis; also used for erytrocytes hemolysis and automatic leucocyte numbering.

Triterpene saponine‚ mixture of 4 glycosides from plants of the Acanthophyllum genus.

Acanthophylloside A: minor component‚ chemical formula unspecified;

Acanthophylloside B: C86H136O48 - 40%;

Acanthophylloside C: C92H146O53 - 25%;

Acanthophylloside D: C86H136O49 - 25%.

 
Biological Activity

non-specific stimulant of immunogenicity. As an erythrocyte hemolytic‚ it can be used for leucocyte numbering (2% solution in 0.9% NaCl solution). It can also be used for obtaining barb antigens for diagnostic solution (0.54% Allochroside in 10% virus-containing aphtose suspension) and for the production of inactivated antibarb vaccines.
