  • Molecular Weight : 722.7 Da.

  • Solubility in : pyridine, DMSO; not well in ethanol 95 % and acetone; not in chloroform and water.

  • Purity min. : 97 % (TLC, mass spectrometry, NMR).

  • Biological Activity : on experimental atherosclerosis in rabbit, Glyrophama dihydrate presents the following effects: - reduces the area of the aorta damage by ~ 35 % or more; - lowers (~ 2 times) the serumal global cholesterol, free cholesterol, cholesterol esters, and triglycerides level; - enhances the HDL (a-cholesterol); - prevents the aorta and vessels permeability due to hypocholesterolemia, acid acetic, formol, or external proteins; - reduces the platelet aggregation, the hypercoagulation syndrom; - reduces the hypophyseal/gonadic system dysfunction.

  • Toxicity (LD50) : mice (orally): 255 mg/kg.

  • Storage recommendations : stable in dry state; store at +4°C, in dark place. For in vitro experiments, the active concentration in DMSO is 10-6-10-9 M;
