  • Solubility in : well in chloroform; slightly in methanol and ethanol; not well in acetone.

  • Biological Activity : Possesses M2 selective activity. ED50 on cats under anaesthesia (i.v.) 0.015 mg/kg : 65% of Atropine activity on heart, 1.7% on isolated ileum, 0.16% on salivary gland. Anti-depolarising myorelaxant. At sublethal doses: muscular weakness, irregular and slow respiration, exophthalm, depression.Effects diminished after 10-15 min, recovery after 60 min.

  • Toxicity (LD50) : mice (i.v.): 48 mg/kg.
