  • Molecular Weight : 351 Da.

  • Melting Point : 122-126 °C.

  • Solubility in : soluble in alcohol, alcohol + water and acetone.

  • Purity min. : 95 % (NMR).

  • Biological Activity : (IC50) for blocking the GABA-dependent [36Cl] uptake in rat brain synaptosomes:10 nM. inhibition of the GABA-dependent Cl- current: 5.3 nM;
    experiments with [3H]-labelled GABA-competitive ligands (Muscimol, Flunitrazepam) showed no influence of Cloflubicyne up to 10 µM.

  • Toxicity (LD50) : mice (i.p.): 0.1 mg/kg.
    rat (orally): 0.2 mg/kg.

  • Storage recommendations : store at room temperature.
    1 mg Cloflubicyne can be dissolved in 1 ml ethanol (up to 50 °C), then diluted in distilled water. Solution for experiments must contain less than 0.5 % ethanol and be stored at 0 °C.
