  • Molecular Weight : 280 Da.

  • Melting Point : 182-183 °C.

  • Solubility in : well in alcohol, alcohol + water and acetone.

  • Purity min. : 95 % (NMR).

  • Biological Activity : (IC50) for blocking the GABA-dependent [36Cl] uptake in rat brain synaptosomes: 50 nM; inhibition of the GABA-dependent Cl- current at 61.0 nM;
    experiments with [3H]-labelled GABA-competitive ligands (muscimol, GABA) showed no influence of Flucybene up to 10 µM.

  • Toxicity (LD50) : mice (i.p.): 1.0 mg/kg.
    rat (orally): 1.5 mg/kg.

  • Storage recommendations : store at room temperature. 1 mg Cloflubicyne can be dissolved in 1 ml ethanol (up to 50 °C), then diluted in distilled water. Solution for experiments must contain less than 0.5 % ethanol and be stored at 0 °C.
