Description

a blocker of Ca2+ release from sarcoplasmic reticulum; skeletal muscle relaxant.

Biological Activity

selectively inhibits the Ca-induced Ca2+ release mechanism from sarcoplasmic reticulum in guinea pig skeletal muscle‚ only at physiological temperature (38°C)‚ under various conditions. (50 µM at low temperature (20 °C) does not inhibit this mechanism) [1].
