ERYSIMOSIDE
Product ID L6021
Name ERYSIMOSIDE
Molecular formula C35H52O14.H2O
Description

It is an inhibitor of Na+/K+-ATPase and so a cardiotonic.

Cardenolide (cardiac glycoside) , from plants of the Erysimum genus, Cruciferae
Biological activity

Erysimoside is a specific inhibitor of Na+/K+ ATPase, which acts selectively on the heart and presents a diastolic positive inotropic and tonotropic action. It is less toxic than Erysimin or Digitoxin.
IC50 (heart) = 0.19 μM (Ouabaine: 0.26 μM);
IC50 (kidney) = 0.30 μM (Ouabaine: 1.00 μM).
