NORFLUOROCURARINE
Product ID L6025
Name NORFLUOROCURARINE
Molecular formula C19H20N2O
Description

It is a CNS stimulant, a convulsant and probably a Glycinergic antagonist.

Indolinine alkaloid , from the plant Vinca erecta, Apocynaceae
Biological activity

It facilitates the neurotransmission at synapses between neurons of the spinal cord. Low concentrations excite the CNS, and toxic concentrations cause convulsions leading to mortality. The convulsions look like those caused by Strychnine, but Norfluorocurarine is 10 times as potent as Strychnine.
